About us

We built this for ourselves first

Thirteen years as a software development agency. Then AI became part of how we write code every day, and we started losing the reasoning behind our own work. Granthia is what we did about it.

Where we come from

For thirteen years we built software for other people. Different domains, different codebases, most of them inherited. You learn quickly that code is the easy part to read. The reasoning behind it is what's hard to recover, and it's what actually took the time.

That shaped how we think about this. We were never precious about tools. We cared about what survives after the work is done.

What changed, and what didn't

We use AI extensively in our day to day coding. It's genuinely good, and it keeps getting better.

Better models don't solve this: every session starts from zero. The reasoning you worked through yesterday isn't there today. You explain the architecture again, the constraints again, the same strange thing about the legacy table again.

And no model, however capable, can read the conversation happening on the machine next to yours. Your teammate solved this exact problem. That work exists. It simply isn't reachable.

A better model rebuilds lost context faster. It still starts without it.

Why we started Granthia

Because we needed it, and it didn't exist.

The conversations were already happening, on every one of our machines, every day. All the decisions and dead ends were in them. Then they ended, and it was gone.

So we built the thing we wanted and pointed it at our own team's history. It answered the questions we'd been asking each other in Slack, from work we'd actually done. We stopped re-deriving things we'd already figured out.

Anyone can build a tool for themselves. Building one that works for every team is much harder. That's Granthia.

What we believe

Your conversations are yours

They're processed privately. They don't leave for a third-party model.

The answer should come to you

Not another wiki that goes stale. It arrives inside the tool you're already using.

Memory should belong to the team

A hard-won answer sitting on one laptop isn't something your team has. It's something one person has.

Context you don't have to rebuild

Granthia is free to start.
